Lecture Details
Target Audience: clinicians who care for families and children in their practice; parents.
Learning Objectives:
- Exploring our own food history and stories and understand how it informs our relationship with food
- Be aware of the language and messaging around food that currently exists in our society.
- Understand how the language we use when talking about food can affect our own and others' view and experience of food
- Be able to advise parents on their language about food and at mealtime with their kids to help support the development of a positive relationship with food
- Be able to facilitate improved food and nutrition literacy that is the foundation of successfully identifying and creating a nourishing diet.
