Dr. Khyati Mehta, MD, moderator, is triple board certified in American board of Pediatrics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine. She is faculty at Loma Linda University Medical Center, California, teaches medical students and residents and cares for patients with chronic inflammatory gastrointestinal and liver conditions. With her Eastern roots, she is familiar with the benefits of Ayurveda and yoga for good health. She is passionate about teaching children and adults to eat the rainbow colors with simple, quick, nutritious recipes by making the process fun and flavorful. She has taught live in cooking shows like Chef AJ’s . She loves traveling with her family and learning new plant-based recipes from diverse cultures all over the globe.

Dr. Sandell's passion for the role of nutrition in health began in her earliest memories. Her grandmother, Nana, who grew up on a farm in Calabria, Italy and moved to the United States when 18, always kept an immense garden in her backyard. And although she only finished fourth grade, she remembers her saying throughout her academic and medical journey, "Angela, you know, in Italy, we eat from our gardens, and we don’t have any of those allergies or diseases you talk about." This idea - that food is medicine - has always permeated her practice, rooted in tradition and ever-growing.

Dr. Debora Duro is the acclaimed Program Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Broward Health in Ft Lauderdale, FL. Additionally, she leads as the Medical Director of "FIRST for Children" a program designed for intestinal rehabilitation. A proud graduate from PUC-RS Pontificia University in Brazil, Dr. Duro further honed her skills with a pediatric residency at Miami Children Hospital. Her pursuit of excellence continued with her fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Boston Children Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, both associated with Harvard Medical School. With an academic foundation, she boasts a Master's in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University and a certification in Plant-based Nutrition from eCornell University. Notably, she has undertaken culinary CHEF coaching at Harvard Medical University. Serving as an Associate Professor in Clinical Pediatrics, Dr. Duro contributes academically at both Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University. She is also a member of the ACLM (American College of Life Style Medicine and her commitment to child health is evident in her roles as a chair of the Nutrition Committee of NASPGHAN, showcasing her passion and expertise in pediatric nutrition and culinary medicine.

Dr. Supriya Rao is a managing partner at Integrated Gastroenterology Consultants, a thriving GI practice north of Boston. She is also the Director of the Metabolic and Lifestyle Medicine Clinic. Her clinical interests include Obesity and Nutrition, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, GI Motility Disorders and Women's Health.
