I am senior acquisitions editor for health and wellness at Johns Hopkins University Press. I've been here for 1.5 years. Before that, I was Senior Executive Editor for health, psychology, business, lifestyle, and related areas at Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, which is now part of Bloomsbury. In my role with Rowman, which spanned more than 14 years, I grew a program of books primarily targeting general readers through the public libraries and online retailers. I work with authors and agents to craft high-quality books for everyday readers so they can better understand the health and wellness challenges they face, obtain expert information about how to prevent and treat their health issues, and lead fuller, more healthful lives. I have more than 25 years of publishing industry experience. I have a bachelor's degree in English and Journalism from Boston University, and a Master's degree in English from Hofstra University. I live and work from a home office in the New York City metro area.
